Acts extremely fearful, shy, sad or aggressive.
Cannot separate from parents without major protest.
Easily distracted or can’t concentrate on one activity for more than 5 minutes.
Shows little interest in playing with other children or rarely uses fantasy/imitation in play.
Doesn’t show a wide range of emotions or doesn’t respond to people.
Can’t tell what’s real and what’s make‑believe.
Doesn’t use plurals or past tense correctly; can’t tell about daily activities.
Cannot give first and last name or build a tower of six‑eight blocks.
Seems uncomfortable holding a crayon; can’t draw basic shapes.
Has trouble eating, sleeping or using the toilet.
Loses skills once had.
